PathFinder Performance Analyzer

VectorCSP offers a complete performance analysis system designed to improve business performance by efficiently leveraging your human assets.

Beginning with a performance profile to ensure that your organization's goals line up from top to bottom, we examine all of the factors that affect employee's performance, including:

  • Consequences, incentives, or rewards
  • Work environment, resources, and tools
  • Individual capacity
  • Motives and expectations
  • Data, information, and feedback
  • Skills and knowledge

Based on the findings, we then recommend a specific and measurable performance intervention plan for your organization that maximizes performance and minimizes cost.

About PathFinder WPM

The heart of the VectorCSP human performance system is a suite of analysis and instructional design/development methodologies and tools that are tightly integrated within a framework called PathFinder WPM (Workforce Performance Model). PathFinder represents an innovative way to rapidly develop highly effective training programs, performance support materials, and assessments of training effectiveness at a lower total cost than with traditional tools and techniques.

PathFinder Success Stories

PathFinder components are currently being used to:

  • Prepare Coast Guard small boat coxswains and comm station radio operators for expanded Homeland Security duties

  • Develop industrial workforce training for the Coast Guard Aviation Repair and Supply Center (ARSC)

  • Develop digital job aids for C-130J aircraft maintenance

  • Assess the effectiveness of training programs at Coast Guard TRACEN Yorktown.

  • Determine workforce measurement requirements for the USDA

The Next Generation of Human Performance Technology

The U.S. government and military have been significant contributors to the Instructional Systems methodology that has set the standard for training development for the last 50 years. Further progress in the field has spawned the Human Performance Technology (HPT) approach to the development of performance improvement interventions. While this has been a significant step forward in the field of training, until now, this HPT process has remained a paper-based process.

To introduce a higher level of consistency and repeatability in HPT products, as well as minimize development time, PathFinder includes a suite of unique methods and electronic tools designed to cut the costs of training while simultaneously improving on-the-job performance. The suite includes:

  • Project Profiler – quickly and unambiguously defines the critical success elements of each training project. Profiler asks the right questions to clearly document the path necessary to begin the analysis phase.

  • Performance Analyzer – a comprehensive analysis tool that leads users through the complex maze of defining the gaps in existing training or newly identified performance needs. Performance Analyzer provides specific information that helps clients target their training and performance needs.

  • Web Interviewer – provides data for the performance analysis. This Web-based survey tool extends the range of data gathering to encompass all employees any time and any place.

  • Report Builder – a simple, but ingenious template that presets the categories and the format for producing easy-to-write, easy-to-read, and highly informative analysis reports.

  • Lesson Builder and Skill Coach Live – pioneering instructional development tools that capture all aspects of HPT-compliant instructional design. The highly innovative Skill Coach Live adds video and audio coaching to on-site job aids.

  • Test Builder and Web Evaluator – provide the frequently overlooked and undervalued process of testing and evaluation, enabling Level 3 evaluations that examine how well training is transferred from the classroom to the work site.
