January, 2012 - VectorCSP donates school supplies to local teachers

Each year vectorCSP and their employees strive to give something back to the community in which we do business. This year was no different. For the past five years, we have worked with the Elizabeth City Pasquotank County School District to purchase and provide necessary items that the teachers need for their classrooms, but might not receive without donor assistance or through their own personal expense. The past three years, vectorCSP has donated a case of copy paper to every classroom teacher in the district.

After months of preparation by the Service Committee team and many vector volunteers, January 24th marked the kick-off of three exciting evenings where Company volunteers gathered at Standard Tile to meet and greet the teachers and distribute 485 cases of paper, compliments of vectorCSP. In addition to giving a case of paper, gift bags containing basic school supplies and coupons were also handed out. The school supplies were donated by Vector employees who put into action one of the intentions of the vectorCSP motto which is to “Give back to our community”.

Many local businesses came together with Vector to support the schools. Standard Tile allowed us to use their warehouse as a distribution center for three days; thank you Mark Meads. Other businesses supported the cause by donating coupons to include in the teacher gift bags; Chick-fil-A, Muddy’s, UPS and Office Max gave abundantly.

It was a team effort, and we thank everyone for their generosity and hard work.

October, 2011 - VectorCSP Ranks Among Inc. Magazine's Fastest Growing Companies

For the fifth consecutive year VectorCSP has been named to the Inc.500|5000 list honoring the fastest-growing, privately-held companies in the United States. This year, VectorCSP ranked #1519 on the prestigious list with a three year growth of 182% and revenue of $17.9 million for 2010.

In a stagnant economic environment, the companies on this year’s list report having created 350,000 jobs in the past three years, and aggregate revenue among the honorees reached $366 billion, up 14% from last year. "Now, more than ever, we depend on Inc. 500|5000 companies to spur innovation, provide jobs, and drive the economy forward. Growth companies, not large corporations, are where the action is,” says Inc. magazine Editor Jane Berentson. Like the other companies included on this list, VectorCSP strives to do more with less. The -CSP in VectorCSP stands for "Cost," "Schedule," and "Performance."

*The Inc. 5000 is ranked according to percentage revenue growth over a four year period. To qualify, companies must have been founded and generating revenue by the first week of the starting calendar year, and therefore able to show four full calendar years of sales. Additionally, they had to be U.S.-based, privately held, and independent—not subsidiaries or divisions of other companies—as of December 31 of the last year measured. Revenue in the initial year must have been at least $200,000, and revenue in the most recent year must have been at least $2 million.
