May, 2011 - VectorCSP Receives Business Partner of the Year and Meritorious Service Award
4/19/2011- VectorCSP was recently awarded Business Partner of the Year from River Road Middle School at the Elizabeth City-Pasquotank Public Schools (ECPPS) Community Recognition Night. Later that evening, Vector was also presented with the prestigious Award for Meritorious Service. The following is the presentation speech from the ceremony:
"This year, our school system would like to recognize a business from our local community for a 'Special Award for Meritorious Service' to the Elizabeth City-Pasquotank Public Schools. This business's motto is 'Work Smart and Hard to Make Government Work Better, Respect and Take Care of Each Other, and Give Back to Our Community.' For the past four years, they have given to ECPPS and/or the children of the Albemarle area. They have fulfilled teacher's wish lists by supplying and delivering classroom equipment, materials and supplies, such as computers, SmartBoards, printers, markers, etc. They have sponsored a teacher essay contest in which teachers wrote about their classroom needs and how receiving these materials would impact student learning. Selected winners received classroom equipment and supplies such as computers and even the Rosetta Stone materials. For the past two years, they have provided a case of copy paper for each ECPPS teacher. They graciously hosted the ECPPS Leadership Academy participants and shared their insights on transformational change and transformational leadership. They understand our challenges and our dedication to providing a quality education for all students in our school district and are true supporters of ECPPS.
