Damien Walz serves as Chief Executive Officer for VectorCSP. He leverages his  leadership and management experience and strong track record of success in business growth initiatives to drive the company’s business strategy. He works directly with the executive leadership team to manage all aspects of the business and analyze and respond to emerging opportunities and risks. Further, he works to help establish and nurture a corporate culture that thrives on superior customer delivery and the positive employee experience.

Damien’s diverse career, both prior to and with VectorCSP, informs his collaborative approach to business. His time as a VISTA volunteer and high school English teacher instilled a love of helping people grow and achieve their goals, and a deep appreciation for the power of the written word and focused messaging. His understanding of writing principles led him to establish VectorCSP’s proposal development process and unyielding commitment to ever-improving proposal quality. During his tenure as Business Development Director and then VP of Business Development, VectorCSP successfully transitioned from being a subcontractor on other companies’ contract vehicles to strategically securing several prime contract vehicles and reshaping the portfolio to largely prime task orders.

Always interested in his potential to positively impact the most people possible, Damien moved from Business Development to Chief Operating Officer (COO) to have broader access to company staff. As COO, he reorganized the contract portfolio to be flexible and scalable, while also providing sufficient delivery management focus to best take care of customer and employee needs. Working with his Account Leaders, Damien implemented several critical Operations processes, including contract compliance audits and contract transition management, to ensure portfolio stability and clear standards for accountability.

Damien’s straightforward approach to realizing company goals allows each company business unit to “move, shoot, and communicate” independently to best serve customers (external and internal) while adhering to VectorCSP’s vision, mission, core values, standards, and processes. His ever-expanding knowledge of the dynamics of the Federal market and the modern business environment, will help steer VectorCSP’s strategy and continued growth.

Damien holds a bachelor’s degree from Frostburg State University and his Teacher’s Certification from Elizabeth City State University and is pursuing an MBA from Southern New Hampshire University.
