VectorCSP, supported by PricewaterhouseCoopers(PwC), has been awarded a task order to provide analytic support for a multi-mission Aviation and Surface fleet study. Team VectorCSP/PwC will define alternative DHS aviation forces for input into a simulation model to assess system performance at varying levels of resources and structure capabilities. This task order will provide DHS with recommendations on the optimal fleet mixes and laydown strategies that will support the US Coast Guard and Customs and Border Patrol interdiction and alien migrant interdiction operations.
To help determine the appropriate and most cost effective/mission ready mix of assets and asset capabilities, DHS will employ the Coast Guard Maritime Operations Effectiveness Simulation (CGMOES) tool to model various surface and aviation asset mixes. Team VectorCSP/PwC will determine the scenarios that should be run, develop parameters for each scenario, analyze the modeling and simulation results, and perform a cost/performance analysis of the various options to ultimately make a recommendation on asset mix and laydown strategy.
