Helping Transitioning Veterans Make More Informed Decisions

Transitioning from a career in the military to government or industry can be perplexing.  Consultants and Coast Guard veterans from VectorCSP helped inform and answer questions about consulting in an hour-long Consulting 411 seminar at CG Headquarters on Sept. 26th. Two dozen military and civilian personnel attended the inaugural seminar with several staying after to ask one-on-one questions.

What do consultants actually do?  Who do they work for?  What is the work really like?  How do military skills and experience translate to this exciting career field? Alli Hill and Christine Chontow discussed these topics and others with examples from their personal experiences in a presentation they wish they had on their road to becoming consultants. Transitioning military personnel are uniquely positioned to make an impact in the federal government or commercial industries. VectorCSP is trying to do our part to help them on the road to their next endeavor.
